There is something to be said for having decisions made for you.
Those gorgeous clothes from Club Monaco will be returned. *sigh*. It makes me sad because they are so pretty.
Why are they going back, you ask? Well, they are going back because my car servicing appointment is going to cost me several arms and a leg…and I also need to get some repairs made to my car from a hit and run that someone did to me–which means it will cost me my other leg too.
It’s ok though–for a number of reasons, it is ok. First of all, no guilt. Second, i feel like I am doing the right/mature/adult thing by taking them back, which is a bit of a self esteem.
The third and final reason why this is ok is the fact that I might be heading to Minneapolis with my dad and brother for a road trip to see Bruce Springsteen and the Minnesota Vikings. Squee! This means fun shopping times at Mall of America (and a few other fun places like Saks of the Fifth, Williams Sonoma, Crate and Barrel, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods).
What makes this trip even more awesome is that it will serve as extra motivation to get to the gym, to shed some lbs so I can buy myself some equally amazing and smaller clothes–maybe even a fun holiday outfit.
So yes, is it sad to give up those gorgeous clothes…absolutely….but it’s not worth the stress and guilt…especially when I can slowly put cash away over te next few months for Minneapolis. Plus, who knows–maybe the sale fairy will come a visitong and i will be able to snag my original purchases for a discounted price–a girl can hope, right?!
Much luv and happy Saturday!

It seems like the right decision. I hope your clothes go on sale later on!
Me, too. Lol.
Since when did you become an adult and start making mature decisions?? Do I have to grow up now? Haha. Love the new profile pic, but the way.
Because I am turning 32 and I think it’s finally time to give up some of my youthful habits like spending money on beautiful clothes when I have a $500+ car maintenance/repair bill. lol. And no, you don’t have to grow up…I’ll probably regress at some point…like when I go to Disney World in February.
Fun. I am going in September. Maybe I will just stay and you can find me with the Lost Boys in February.
Good times! Then you can run the Princess Half Marathon, too!
only if it will make me feel like a princess!! lol
I am sure that if anyone could do it, the folks at Disney could. lol.
