Apparently doing a “strength/interval” spinning class, followed by a “quick” TRX class, only 20 hours after a 10 mile run isn’t the best idea. My leg muscles are screaming at me…and my left knee is rather swollen. So I plan to take care of this with a snow pack (which I will gather when I go outside to plug-in my car) and a glass of red wine.
er…wait. I don’t have to plug-in the car…its going to be warm overnight and then drop to -33 degrees Celsius tomorrow afternoon…what a relief. ooh…that also means a proper “ice” pack, and not a mother nature version.
On a more positive note, I have almost completely caught up on my photo challenge..well, except for that pick of hands…i don’t have one…yet. I wanted to avoid it until I could paint my nails…lol. Well…how about this–i will save Day 3 until I am Vegas, post manicure? Deal? Deal!
So then…here are Days 2,4-8.
Day 2-words--so many delicious words
day 4 stranger--the first blood orange I ever brought into my kitchen (not a fan of taking pics of randoms)
day 5 10am--i remembered...but 1 minute too late
day 6 dinner--roast winter veg with balsamic glaze and plain old chicken breast
day 7-button--and a controversial button (in Winnipeg right now)

There we go–all caught up!
I ran 10 miles today. Not 8. Not 9. 10!
I’m super pumped…and also super uncomfortable. I forgot about one of the fun things about running longer distances is that, especially in the beginning, it can greatly upset your tummy. A contributing factor to that, for me, is dairy, which is something I usually avoid for 2-3 days before I plan to do a long run.
I didn’t do that this time. Very. Bad. Life. Choice.
On a more positive note–I just ran 10 miles. This alone takes all five spots on my gratitude challenge. I never thought I would be running 10 miles already, with over three months til race day in Fargo! YES!
And now it is time to suck back some ginger tea to help my poor tummy.
P.S. Yes…i know..i have been bad on posting for the Febphotoaday. I promise i will catch up…i just haven’t found a stranger to take a picture of…or a 10am when i’m not interrupted by my boss. lol
