But…I survived. And I felt incredibly proud. Granted running in this kind of heat is not something I will do regularly but I’m glad to have bashed that fear down–it’s is possible, I, Leesah MC can run in crazy 38 degree heat.
The rest of the night me and O spent some time catching up over delicious bbq at Famous Dave’s. I also had half of the most amazing Ceasar (sorta like a bloody mary) ever…I mean…any drink that has a bacon garnish and is called Devil’s Spit must be good, right? We chatted about life, his kids, his upcoming races, my continuous single status and how determined he is to put an end to that. We made plans for me to teach him how to swim so he can finally try his hand at a triathlon. It was just an awesomely fun night with a good friend I haven’t seen in a while. After the massive catch up sesh, I ventured home to watch The Soup and a bit of Honey Boo-boo child, get myself all sparkly clean and engage in some much-needed stretching/yoga for runners and foam rolling…which was super painful but ultimately satisfying. Tonight is more time with friends–and I’m totally looking forward to it. Squee! Loving these last few days of summer fun with lovely friends whom I don’t get to see regularly. Seriously…it’s been epic and so…what’s the word…fulfilling? No…that’s not it…but I think you know what I’m getting at. Much luv and happy Thursday, Leesah
